Welcome

The NZTDA represents the interests of the Toy Industry at a National and International level, addressing issues and problems which could impact on the toy business and by so doing protect and promote the interests of our Members.

The members of the New Zealand Toy Distributors Association comprise manufacturers, importers and distributors of toys, games, nursery, lifestyle, licensed, sports, seasonal, and hobby products.

The Association also runs the only dedicated toy trade event in New Zealand - The NZ Toy Fair - which this year will take place at SKYCITY, Auckland. This is a trade only event and exists to give members, an opportunity to showcase their products to buyers and retailers.

The NZTDA is involved with Childrens’ Charities and as such our Committee support child related foundations that are in need of assistance. Every year the committee receive suggestions for likely recipients of Toy Funding grants. Funds have been used to help purchase vital equipment, satisfy basic needs, initiate new projects, or bolster existing initiatives for children.

Today the NZTDA has around 45 members ranging from international toy companies to small family-run businesses.

Play is children’s work and toys are their tools; therefore it is important that these tools are safe. When it comes to toys or any children’s products the safety of children is paramount and is of the greatest importance to all members of the NZTDA.
